For the fourth consecutive year, high-end lighting specialist Preciosa is setting sail for Monaco. The award-winning lighting company will be introducing a new installation for superyachts at the Monaco Yacht Show, as well as designing the event’s annual award.
Making its debut at this year’s show, Preciosa’s Pearl Wave is an interactive lighting installation made from more than 700 handmade triplex opal spheres, suspended on gold finished metal rods.
“As Preciosa continues its journey to create meaningful connections between people with light, we are excited to share Pearl Wave with visitors to the Monaco Yacht Show,” enthused Michael Vasku, Creative Director.
“Similar to Breath of Light, the interactive installation we introduced at Milan Design Week, this is a dynamic, people-driven piece specially designed for yachts. It is the perfect lighting feature for special onboard celebrations.”
Preciosa will be showcasing a range of lighting solutions designed especially for unique sea conditions. Visitors to the Upper Deck Lounge will be able to enjoy a selection of historic chandeliers and contemporary pendants. This is the third consecutive year that Preciosa is one of the exclusive Upper Deck Lounge partners.
More Preciosa lighting can be found in the booth of interior designer Sabrina Monte-Carlo. Four of Preciosa’s Muutos pendants will be on display in the designer’s space.
Preciosa has also been entrusted with the task of designing and producing the official Monaco Yacht Show award that will be presented in four categories to the winning superyachts participating in the show.
Designer Daniel Szollosi says he has drawn inspiration from the wake of a yacht skimming across the sea to create this handcrafted crystal award, comprising a mix of polished, and bubbled glass.
The Monaco Yacht Show runs September 26-29, Port Hercules, Monte Carlo.
