British Hi-Fi outfit Naim Audio has unveiled a champagne finish edition of its celebrated Mu-so audio system. The model is exclusive to John Lewis until October 4, after which it receives wider distribution.
The Mu-so’s metal anodised body sports the new colour finish, complicated by a matching front grille.
The sound system has been widely hailed for its audio-engineering and industrial design. The Mu-so features six 75 watt amplifiers driving an integrated speaker array, delivering a total of 450w. A 32-bit digital signal processor handles audio decoding.
The Mu-so needs to be connected to a home Wi-Fi network in order to stream music from a connected PC, NAS storage device or streaming audio services, such as Spotify, Tidal and Apple Music. There’s also support for Apple AirPlay 2 .
The system can also perform as part of a larger Naim multiroom set-up. Naim’sMu-so, Mu-so Qb and Uniti all-in-one players can all play the same song in-sync in up to five rooms.
Additional inputs include Bluetooth aptX, USB (for charging and playback of portable devices), a 3.5mm analogue input plus digital input for use with external music systems.
“This beautiful new finish has been selected as it ideally represents both a ‘celebration’ of the continuing success of the Mu-so family, but also because it delivers a unique appearance that oozes sophistication and exclusivity from every last detail” says Simon Matthews, Group Design Director.
“The Champagne Mu-so special offers a highly desirable and unique aesthetic, appealing to those music lovers who do not settle for second best when it comes to luxury in the home.”
The Mu-so Special Edition Champagne Finish is priced £995, available now.
