The Lagunitas Beer Circus is coming to London. The Californian brewing company are taking over Southwark’s Flat Iron Square on August 18 for what promises to be a memorable a day of danger and dancing.
The event combines neo gothic vaudeville, with music and fancy dress, complimented by a large selection of craft brews. Inside ID was invited to a preview and can confirm that this isn’t so much a circus as a whip-cracking, sword swallowing extravaganza. Small wonder no one under 18 is admitted. It’s also rather good fun.
The performers are straight out of Carnivàle and the music promises to be eclectic. Swing jazz combo Rum Buffalo (pictured below) performed at our preview.
Lagunitas is well known for its IPA and ales, and will have some interesting options on tap (we recommend the Strawberry White).
Tickets cost £15 (with profits are going to the charity Wild At Heart). Entrance includes a welcome beer and drink token. Choose either the afternoon or evening session. Tickets to the Lagunitas Beer Circus are available through Eventbrite.
