Bathroom light fitting can often be quite tricky, especially when it comes to compromising between the light fixture designs of your choice and the demands for IP44 rated fittings regularly imposed by electricians. While in some areas of the bathroom IP44 rated fittings are highly recommended or even essential, there are many cases in which a standard fitting (IP20) is completely suitable, meaning you have a greater choice of lights.

There are a few tricks when it comes to bathroom lighting which can save you money on your bathroom lighting installation. Knowing what the safety rules are and being aware of all the different approaches to incorporating a non-IP44 light fixture in your bathroom will allow you to be sensible without compromising your design vision.
